  It was entirely his choice to be a recluse but it's sad that his thoughts on the rise of Pink Floyd through the 1970s and even the Live8 reunion aren't known.

  don't floyd dedicate comfortably numb to him everytime they play it? I have heard Waters say the song is based around an illness he had as a youngster but there are other theories, one being that the song is based around when Syd Barett went mad!
