How to eat a Mango

I have just bought a mango but I haven't got a clue about how to eat it! Help!

    the best way is to probably peel all skin off with a knife and then it has a massive stone in the middle so cut all the flesh off of the stone, then eat it? I'd do it over a bowl too.

    You could probably just bite into it but it'd be a bit messy..

    They have a huge stone in the middle. Best thing is to slice down either side of the stone, which leaves you with two fleshy bits of mango in their skin. With a knife, cut across the mango in a criss cross fashion and then push the skin in the middle. The fleshy cubes of mango will stick up like a hedgehog and you can eat them off there. Yum.

    I cut it in half around the stone, remove stone then carve it up like a melon

    You mader me fancy mango but Tesco's was doing the stoopid "Under strict trading regulations this store is closing in 5 minutes" tannoy :( so I had to do a weekly shop in fifteen minutes(forgot it was Sunday - doh!) Needless to say Im going back tommorow :no:

    eating a mango is pretty much like eating cock

    each to their own i guess, and each person has their own way of doing it to get maximum pleasure from engourging themselves on the mango

    just cut it into slices. Obviously theres a big stone in the middle so slice around that, buti l aways just slice mango. Its delicious.

    Interesting fact about mangoes.

    They ripen from the inside out so people in the supermarket who squeeze them are morons and should be pointed and laughed at. The way to test the ripeness of mangoes is to smell or taste the syrup coming from the end where the stalk was. The sweeter it smells/tastes, the riper it is.

    Ah but if you squeeze it and it's really soft then it means it's too ripe and probably not nice. So it does work.

    I bought a mango today. I have to say, I was quite disappointed by the whole mango experience.

    I was expecting a stone for starters, not a great huge chunk of solidness in the middle :|
