BunnieBunnie Posts: 6,099 Master Poster
I think i slept funny on my elbow a few nights ago, and ever since its been so sore,i cant life it above my head. its achey, rather than a sharp pain, and it keeps clicking.
im thinking maybe i should just chop it off, what do you think?

I'd have said it was because you slept on it, but I think it would have stopped by the next day (at least it does with me). So maybe you pulled it a bit out of its place or something?

Can you straighten your arm? I had tennis elbow last year from the till at work, and I couldn't straighten it or lift it or anything. There were really sharp pains, like pins sticking in the part of the joint where there is a dent. Stick a tubigrip on it and try not to move it? I'd advise against amputation until you know what the problem is :p

Ibuprofen is good for that kind of thing. If it doesn't improve within 5 days or so see someone about it.

I know I'm being daft but to get my arm above my head I don't need to move my elbow at all.

i said above my head coz it was when i was straightening my hair.

Tennis elbow can develop without playing tennis, its just a common cause!

Tennis elbow is just lateral epicondylitis. Not necessarily sport related!

Keep it moving if it's stiff but rest if it's sore. Ibuprofen if it's sore too.

I can do the amputation for you as long as you don't tell anyone because I'm not entirely qualified. I don't have any anaesthetic either ... Kentish do you have some I could borrow?

I've not played tennis for years, my tennis elbow was really repetetive strain injury from being on the till too much at work.

Do you have an axe or something? Or will you do it with a knife, slowly?
