How come

When girls try to get pregnant it's seemingly impossible, taking months of trying when they're most fertile etc.

But when girls are trying not to get pregnant it takes a few seconds without ejaculation on a one off occasion and then that's it.

Just seems peculiar :chin: (and no, I have not got anyone pregnant :p).

edit: moved to anything goes as it was way off topic. Lets just all ask how comes? :p

    It is sods law.

    I spent all my teens trying not to get pregnant and then the last few years trying to. Things always take longer when you want them to happen.

    Off Topic Sods law and murpheys law atre different name for teh same thing.

    On topic: It just happens. You can try forever and not get pregnant, get pregnant on a one night stand or have kids when you want them. Its all about timing / contraception etc.

    yep, it took 5 months to fall pregnant with the one i just lost and then that happened. Just hope it doesnt take that long again.

    I met smeone the other day who decided to start trying a month after they got married. She said she didn't plan on haviing one so soon but assumed it would take a while, so started practising early. So she was a bit shocked when she fell pregnant straight away, and even more shocked at her 12 week scan when they revealed it was....TRIPLETS! :shocking:

    Though that makes no sense, "It could take a while so let's start now". It's like thinking that you have to roll a die 6 times to make it show 6.

    Both times my mum came off the pill she was pregnant within 6 weeks. NAs she knew practically straight away that she was pregnant with me.
