    As in for a website, or a ready-running website, or something to run on your computer, or the code for a successful pub pull...

    Anything free will be shite. If you're planning on making money from it, go for a bespoke package, or learn to code. Look at it this way - if you made a successful website, would you release the source code to competitors whilst you were still making money from it?

    Of course you wouldn't. I think you're more of a canine than a feline sometimes ;).

    Otherwise I might have some free dating script I downloaded, don't have the links anymore though, but must have the files somewhere...

    It can be... Got one open myself already and planning on opening at least 3 more...
    Doesn't cost much to do and well if it works can make a bit of cash...
    You can't do a fortune tho unless you advertise proper...
    meetic.fr for example make 4M euros per month, but they use 60% of the benefits to advertise on TV, newspaper, well everywhere and even organise meetings and shit...

    how can there be a big enough market for you to have 3 different dating sites open? surely people will just go for the one with the biggest userbase so they have more people to choose from?

    Nah, you don't do 3 general one... 1 for hetero, 1 for lesbian and 1 for gay... can also do one for young people, one for fat people, one per country...

    Well there is already shit loads out there, but if you make a few quids per month on each I think it aint too bad going... The one I have already open is nearly at 2,000 members in less than 2 months... it's all free for now tho, cos well need to fill up the members count first...

    I think if someone wants to start a dating site from scratch specialising is the best option.

    Someone was tellingme a friend of his has a dating site and it's only got 400 members but they each pay £10 a month to him - £4,000 a month is good money for not having to do very much once it's all up and running.

    The thing is getting members, with all the bog dating sites out there it's gonna be hard for new'uns to gep clients.
