Could it be OCD?

I've noticed lately that i've been displaying a lot of symptoms similar to those who have OCD, such as, for example, spending hours and hours checking things over and over again, and being paranoid about things that i just shouldn't be paranoid about....i can't really say all that much, considering its a public forum and all, but judging by what i've said so far, what do you think my chances are of having OCD or a similar problem?

perhaps you are just over-cautious. It doesn't mean you have ocd.
you think the kiddies of thesite.org would be able to tell you if you have it? think again buddy. go to your doctor if you are worried.
Think about it, at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter if you have OCD or not, your still 'you'
OCD sucks, and makes a lot of peoples lives misserable. So if you do think you have it, fine, get it checked out. You'll probably see a cognative therapist who'll help you modify your thought patterns.
But if you think you might have another issue that you'd like to discuss with someone, thats just as ok. There is a lot of help available, you've just got to seek it.
In some aspects though, checking is a normal thing, most people check that their front door is locked/have turned off tv/turned off cooker when they go out etc, so I wouldn't get too worried and stressed about it, stress and worry can make mine worse- as I am always finding.

I think because we're so advanced medically, we can find out a lot more about the human brain and come to conclusions that the victorians (or earlier) couldn't.
ADD has been around since the beginning of Man, but we've only just begin to know how to diagnose a disorder of the brain because of the recent advances in technology.
I can't stand people who think it's all 'in their heads' and that disorders don't exist. I think it's very arrogant to think that. (I'm not referring to you Koe, I just know a lot of people who take the point of view).
