Well as sum of u know i had a LOT of shit from my most recent EX bf (Tom). We were 2gether for 5 months but i dumped him just b4 xmas & tried 2 be mates wit him but he paid me back by just basically being a complete wanker!
On Sat (yesterday) him & his mate (who i have also been out wit, Chris.) came 2 Iceland (where i work) & sat outside waiting 4 me 2 go on my lunch break. When i did i woz just gonna walk past but Chris came running over & pulled me over 2 the bench where him & Tom had been sitting.
We (me & Tom) started off having a MASSIVE slagging off match about EVERYTHING but when we had calmed down a bit we actually started talking like normal human beings 2 each other & aplogized about everything then he said:
'Look i really do want 2 be mates, i miss having u around & i know it can't be the same as b4 we started goin out but please can we just start over?'
B4 we started goin out we were REALLY good mates & part of me regrets goin out wit him coz we have lost that but i said that we could be mates & @ the mo its goin OK. He has been txting me 4 quite a bit of 2day & just foned me a min ago & it woz kinda like it woz b4 i started goin out wit him.

and its true, i was reading through going "omg this is what happened with my ex"... there was a time i never thought we coudl be friends again and we didnt talk for 2 weeks. but i began to realise i might regret in 10, maybe 20 years time if we didnt maek up and be friends, coz we were good friends for 3 months on the net before we went out. so i emailed him, and he wrote back adn it was a bit weird at first, but now im totally okay with it.
so yeah i think you can be mates with your ex <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> but its never gonna be the same, subconsciously i bet you'll still be jealous if he finds someone else or something, even if youdont have any feelings for him anymore.
If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.
