can having hyperthyroidism cause a funny feeling in your throat?
i am being investigated for this condition and am noticing this funny feeling, linked??

    Yup. The thyroid gland is located at the bottom of your throat and if it grows (a goitre), if can obstruct or irritate the windpipe.

    it feels like a funny fluttering feeling sometimes a bit like something is stick there. i dont have the results of my tests yet and it may not be my thyroid but apparantly diabetes and thyroid problems are common together.
    if its not my throid who knows?

    Yeah, they're associated because they are both autoimmune.

    I have the opposite (hypothyriod) and have never had anything like that but it's probably different if its working too much.
    I know if you get a lump on your neck you need it looked at asap.

    thats what i meant hypo thyroid, doh!

    its not a lump its just a strange feeling

    dont really have those symtoms its just a strange feeling, its not always there, it comes and goes. im battling with my diabetes at the moment and im worried there is a real problem elsewhere, thats why they are checking my thyroid. im worried that its not that. i have a hell of a lot of the symtoms of hypothyroid though when i looked it up.
