Questions about politics for young people?

**helen****helen** Deactivated Posts: 9,235 Supreme Poster
This week, MP Gareth Thomas, has agreed to answer your questions on anything you like, including: his life as a MP; on serving his Harrow constituency; his 3 years as a Minister in the Department for International Development; his reflections on the 40+ countries he’s visited; his answer to why 2005’s ‘Make Poverty History’ and ‘Live8’ has made a difference; his views on why politics matters for young people; and even his bets on Arsenal’s chances in 2006...

Well as it says he's a Minister in the Department for International Development - which whether or not you consider to be important, sounds very interesting.

I didn't even know we had a Department for International Development :chin:

I'm crap at anything politically related. I just wanted to know if he'd been on telly :)

    I've heard of him ;p

Do I count as a young person so I can go ask him a difficult question - I could ask one on behalf of many young people if necessary...

I remember around election time last year you got MPs from all 3 main parties to answer questions. Will you be sending the questions to the Tories and the Liberals for a response too?

No, this is just questions specifically for Gareth. We may do something more general later in the year however.
