How do you go about claiming compensation for say if for instance, you were mugged and there was a criminal conviction against the offender?

    I'd speak to the CAB about that, tbh.

    I'm not too sure what hoops you need to jump through.

    As far as I know, it's the criminal injuries compensation board. I looked at applying, got the claim forms sent through but I think I was just outside the time frame for applying.

    Has the case gone to court yet? If not, speak to your witness liason office to obtain a MG19 Compensation form. If the case had gone through court, speak to Citizens Advice. If may be possible to look a civil action to claim compensation.
