Drum & Bass has changed nowadays...so I dunno
Google "Bagleys, Kings Cross" it might give you some intersting pointers.
    DJ Marky
    ED Rush
    Kenny Ken
Lately even something like Pendulum is considered as D&B...

I know very little, but Fabric & Fabric Live albums are meant to be good. The only one I have is Fabric 19, which is Freestylers.

Limewire a few dj names you should find some decent stuff.
Look out for Andy C, Kenny Ken, Pendulum, Dillinja, Ray keith, hype (but be careful 'cause theres also an american hip hop dj called hype) mickey finn, nicky blackmarket, dj rap, goldie, shy fx, brockie, swann-e, randall & darren jay
Its also definately worth looking up a few drum n bass mc's from back in the day as a lot of people have missed out on their genius - mc mc, stevie hyper d and skibadee (who is still mc'ing today)

Very much depends on what style of Drum & Bass your starting to like...
There is the Darker Dub Step stuff... Intelligent, jungle, grimy, brazillian, commercial... etc etc

If you name a few tunes or artists then would give more of an idea...

For Old Skool or Jungle, look out for people like:

    Ray Keith
    Nicky Blackmarket
    DJ SS
    Brockie

If your looking for more commercial stuff, go for Shy FX or DJ Marky

Main stream that you would hear at raves, then you want Andy C, Hype, Mampi Swift, Fresh, Sub Focus, Friction... there is more but im waffling..

    Basically...
For live stuff go to www.slamminvinyl.co.uk and buy a CD pack or something... the One Nation Valentines Special is wicked (I was there :hyper: )

If your going a bit more HMV retial, get Andy C - Nightlife 3 or Bingo Sessions 3... they are pretty decent compliation CD's...

Download a track by Jenna G called In love....

    Superb!

I could go on for hours in this thread so I will just stop now!

Also look out for stuff by Fabio & Grooverider... they are good!

Totally agree with all of this. The old stuff is good - skibadee/shabba etc.
But if you're not really into the mc stuff maybe try some breakbeat, the freestylers or even something like freq nasty..bit less hardcore.

I have never seen someone hype a crowd like Skibba! He is a legend...

    http://www.slamminvinyl.com/video/Westfest_AndyC_Vid.wmv <--- Good Example :D

Other good MC's at the moment are Eskman & Fontsta

Live events such as Slammin and Accelerated Culture are best. Older jungle sets are best. :thumb:

and check out John B - Up All Night - playing it right now.

    He sure is.

He also produced Mercury Skies which is an amazing hybrid between trance & drum n bass.

    Personal Suggestions are:

    Roni Size
    Sub Focus
    DJ Fresh
    Krust
    Baron

Could go on forever really, your best bet is to get hold of some D&B albums as they usually have a mixture of stuff on there. Any of the Nightlife compilations would be a good start (also mentioned above somewhere).
