    About 3 - 4 minutes. Take the top off quickly after you take it out the water because it continues to cook. Even if you boil it perfectly it'll go hard if you dont open it quick enough. If the white's still a bit runny stick the top back on for a minute and it'll be dandy :)

    i do 3.5 minutes and the white is always hard, with the yolk always soft and hot. oh yum i really want a boiled egg now

    of course this will differ with egg size, not sure what size we normally get!

    You can buy little doo-dahs (technical name :p) which you drop in the pot and tell you when the egg will be hard, medium or soft.

    I'd say less than 3 mins, but I don't want you to get food poisoning so I'd take everyone elses advice.

    I usually start buttering my bread once the eggs boil then as soon as thats done I turn the ring off.

    Remember don't keep eggs in the fridge, that'll cause them to crack. :yes:

    Yep. My friend has this egg boiler and, as well as looking cool, it makes perfectly boiled eggs.

    Same one as min. Very worth it.

    I'm gona have some for breakfast with toasted seedy brown crusty bread. Soft boiled. Delish!
