  I made lamb hotpot and put it in the oven in my new pyrex dish which came with a plastic lid. All over the stickers (which I did take off prior to use) it said how it could go in the microwave/oven/freezer/dishwasher etc etc. I covered my hotpot with the lid and put it all in the oven. 10 mins later I checked to see if it was cooking ok only to find the lid melted all over it!
  
  I won't do that again (and not only as I no longer have the lid!)! BUT it should have said that the lid should not go in the oven - I even went into Debenhams to look at the pyrex dishes the same as mine and nowhere does it say not to. GGrrrr!
