Film recommendations wanted

Taking my boyfriend out to the cinema either this weekend or early next week, but he doesn't know as it's part of his birthday present. I know he wants to see V for Vendetta, but I have a feeling we're going to see that this week, so need a backup plan just in case.

Choice of;
Ice Age 2
Firewall
The Hostel
The Dark

Anybody seen any of those/heard any reviews?

    I've heard hostel sucked.
    ice age is good if he's into it.

    The Hostel looks a bit creepy to me anyway, I'm a big wimp.

    He does like Ice Age, it might be a childish thing to go see for his 18th though. :p

    Firewall is about computer system security (he's a fairly serious gamer) and a hostage situation to break a code to steal money - the usual storyline.

    The Dark is something about some parents who lose their daughter, then she comes back in the form of a girl who supposedly died in the same place 60 years back, and haunts them etc.

    I will give him the end choice anyway, but I don't want to end up going to see a dud film.

    I watched Hostel yesterday.

    OMG. DO NOT WATCH IF YOU ARE WIMPISH AND EASILY SCARED.

    I watched this with a guy and he must have spent half of the film covering my eyes and ears. It was horrible. I also nearly ripped his shirt off because I jumped so much and grabbed onto it. How embarassing :o He must have thought I was a right wimp :lol:

    Tis a good film if ya a boy though, its got lots of naked ladies in it! :p

    Bugger, might be going to see it tonight. Dad's going with his cousin and has said he'll take me and Kyle if he wants to go. I half hope he says no now :blush:

    It depends what you're into. I wouldnt call it crap. It did have a plot and was pretty watchable but just soooo gory!! I wouldn't see it if you're of a nervous disposition (like me :crazyeyes )

    They still showing Wolf Creek? That was really good.

    You'll love it then. I had my eyes closed for the duration but the sound effects were enough. I think I'm scarred for life!

    Ice Age 2's cool and I don't think it's too childsish. Now most animation film are for everyone to enjoy. :yes:

    Thats because IT IS very scary! I don't understand how that film can't scare people. It was horrible.

    I'm watching Alien Autopsy this weekend at the cinema. I would recommend that. It has Ant and Dec in it :D
