Holiday 2006 - I might be going to Keenya.

Anyone got any good ideas, tips, suggestions?

    I LOVE that Kenya song. My mate is going to Keeeeenya in September and her mate got the soft toy lion and tiger from weebl. Amazing.

    Just curious... who pronounces it Keenya and who pronounces it Kenya?
    I've always said Ken-ya, not Keenya...

    I say Kenya, the only people i know that say keenya were my a level geo teacher and a couple of other 'old' people, i think it depends what generation you come from.

    Go to Mombasa. Also go to Mt. Kili, and I've heard the Masaai Mara is fucking amazing.

    Also be aware that in summer here, it's their winter, and it's actually colder there than it is here at that point.

    I say Kenya, my mate from Stockton says Keeeenya. Well she used to, until I bullied her for it and now she says Kenya. :D

    I lived in Stockton for 3 years. Never again. :grump:

    And I've been to Kenya's next door neighbour, Uganda.

    Kenya is more or less on the equator so it doesn't really have a summer and winter, but will have rainy and drier seasons. I'd highly recommend a safari holiday and try to see a bit of the real country, or maybe save that for your elective. Everyone I know who has been to Africa has loved it. I certainly intend to go back, maybe with MSF or similar.
