wireless and ntl

Hi

I have a quesiton about getting wireless. I have searched the forum and read lots of the useful info about how wireless works but i have a specific question.

I am moving into a new flat. they have at the moment a desktop downstairs which has ntl broadband. My room will be upstairs and I need internet up there on my own pc.

I know that ntl broadband is different as its cable, not asdl so can we still set it up to be shared to my computer? since i am upstairs i was thinking wireless would be the best option but the wireless things i have looked at from the other posts all mention asdl so do they also work with ntl broadband? how is it different? would i need some kind of special wireless setup?

any ideas would be useful, if it is not possible, i would have to rethink my decision to move into this flat as i need to have internet access of my own.
