Hey All,

I just wonder is there a time when you've ever felt so so happy. Perhaps your unable to describe the experience, but has there ever been a time when you were on top of the world, worry free and just feeling so happy with life?

    Being stoned.

    And of course, when you are in a relationship... up until the point is all goes downhill and you feel worse than fucking ever.

    I do not think I can remember a time when everything has seemed to go my way and I felt totally happy. There always seems to be a dark cloud hovering over me. Maybe/hopefully one day!

    hehe well sorry to sound all smug and everything, but i have felt like that since last july :D no relationship, but im only seventeen, and absolutely everything is going as well as it possibley can at this point in my life.

    I know i am soooo lucky to have the life i am living, and know that it cant last forever. But for now i am busy being incredibly content and happy. Everyday i remember how amazing my life is, and how grateful I am. Words just cannot describe.... :hyper:

    I disagree to some extent. Even when things are fabby and great in a relationship, things can be crap elsewhere. In terms of relationships, I've never been happier than the last 18 months, but over the summer I think I've been unhappiest with regard to some other aspects of my life than I ever have been before or since.

    I just seem to be finding it so difficult to be happy right now. Sometimes its like life is dragging and as though I'm in a constant downer just waiting for someone or something to come along and brighten up my life.

    I dont know why i feel like this but I just seem to more and more lately. :(

    It was my birthday 2 years ago, me and my ex were planning our wedding in the garden sipping cocktails on a beautiful day in the summer when I got a phone call from my boss saying I had got my promotion I'd been working so hard for!

    2 years on, I'm single, it's miserable weather and this morning I've just been suspended with pay pending an investigation!

    Not totally, no. But I used to be pretty close to it when I was about 14.
    Then I realised I was fooling myself, and since then...

    Mate, to be happier i just think you need to chill out a bit more. i mean you're already well ahead with all the college work and getting straight distinctions, you're top of the class and on your way to a great uni. From here it looks as though everything is getting to you and you're getting stressed out by every little snag that goes wrong or possibly could go wrong. Just try to step back and just realise that nothing is the end of the world and everything will end up working itself out for the best anyway. I cant really offer any practical advice because i tend to live for the day, not really planning or thinking about the future. Whenever im faced with a choice to make i normally choose the option that will make me happiest now, if things dont work out in the future then i'll just change my situation then so im just constantly happy really.
    Live life, enjoy yourself, no doubt you'll make mistakes as you go along but its how you deal with these that pave the way for the future. if you dwell on them and have regrets then they will always rule your life but if you just put things down to experience and move on you will be a lot happier.
    imo you just seem to have grown old before your time mate, you're only 18, enjoy yourself a bit more! when i was 18 i just pretty much went out every night, got drunk, pulled women and played football with a bit of work in between to fund the lifestyle. sure i could have been studying hard at uni, got a degree and be in a high paying job now, but i wouldnt change anything. Some might say wasted years but to me they were the best times of my life!

    I don't agree with this, but that's me. I don't like it when people advise other people to work less, but that's me again.

    Work hard = good results

    work less = less good results.

    You can never change this. However, when you come to the point when working more doesn't help, then this is the exception that confirms the rule - then you should stop, as mentioned in the quote above.

    Do your best but find time to relax and go out with your mates, whatever. But don't stop to work. There are probably articles about this here.

    I know you didn't mean that he should stop entirely...}

    {IMHO}

    Ah, yes. I know the stereotype. There's this guy in my class, who is exactly like this. I guess ultimately, hard-work is just as much as natural intelligence, except with more specialised work.

    Unfortunatly no, can always describe it so far, maybe under drugs but that would be fake happiness, or no, actually maybe the feeling you get after amazing sex but I am not sure it stands as proper happiness...
