It's an installation by Rachel Whiteread. She cast the insides of hundreds cardbord boxes.. So they aren't sugar cubes.. :p

Haven't seen it yet. Will probably pop in when i go up to the Embankment next weekend.

you could put a brick on a stool, and it'd go in there..

im sure there are some 'arty' types that say theres some kind of hidden metaphor or meaning in it, in order for them to keep their farse of being slightly better than everyone else going :p

I prefer different types of art i guess.. music namely

I was really disappointed with that exhibition. The turbine hall is such an awesome space and all the other sections of the Unilever series were so awesome - anyone remember the weather project where they hung a massive sun from the ceiling? You had businessmen walking in all proper with their briefcases and half an hour later they were flat on their backs on the floor staring at it, or making shapes on the walls with shadows.....

I love art that can do that. This bit of the series has killed it a bit, IMHO.

I don't mind the tate modern but I hate that Rodin's The Kiss is in it. I ADORE that piece and it's so out of place in the TM - it's not modern art and last time I went it had been shoved in a hallway.... :(

I'd love to visit both the Tate and the Tate Modern.. sadly, 'tis too far away. I've been to the Tate St Ives twice now and its absolutely shite.

I'm not so keen on the Tate but it all depends on the kind of art you are into really, I personally prefer the Tate modern. I've been about 8 times but is alway worth anther visit when they have a new exhibition on
