I dunno if any of you guys will have any answers, but i've gotta drive to Manchester airport at 7am monday morning to pick my loony boyfriend up as he's back from mexico.

Anyway i live in Derby and there is 3 ways to get there, m6, m1 and shitty A roads through Macclesfield.

Anyone know the best way?

    I'd say M6 would probably be the quickest.

    Yeh I agree, from Staffordshire I go through Congleton, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge etc.

    i did but it sent me on shitty B and A roads......grrr

    The A roads through Macclesfield take quite a lot of miles off the journey. It's probably the best way.

    Other than that, A52, M6, M56.

    you reckon? its been half and half between the macclesfield way and the m6.

    Think im gonna do the macclesfield run tbh

    M6/M56 id imagine would be easiest for you, but I come from the opposite direction though and dont need the M6, just 56.
