BT 'quadruples' broadband speeds

Look like at the end of March those of you with BT Broadband will have their ADSL conenction upgragded to 8Mbps just as long as you live near an exchange (I do!). The rest will get conenctions between 4 - 6Mbps.

    although telewest have already rolled out 10Mbps all over the place :thumb:

    I know, some ISPs have 24mbps!!! Still I cant wait have a faster connection.

    Our ISP tried to give us 2 MB/s and it wouldn't work we had to go down to 1 mb/s for a reliable connection

    don't see how we'll get 4 mb/s where I live

    my madasafish connection is 8meg but ...i can only get 2.2.

    ntl are going to upgrade to 10mb, by the end of this year, but ive got an old terayon modem which isnt compatible so in theory they should give us a new one. When, I cant say...

    Either way, with 2mbps down im not complaining :p i struggle to get the full download bandwidth as it is because there is simply upload caps from servers. I suppose if you use torrents it might be better though... (but then again, theyd need to up the upload speed too)
