I just don't trust Micro$hite and boycot them as much as possible...

It might be a good thing, but it's not like Micro$hite are the only ones that are going to provide us with solution to defend ourselves against such threats.

Just using defender as I had to rebuild after getting infected with a trojan type thing. big improvement over antispyware. I like the page that lists all the programs with network connectivity and which ports, etc. Handy.

    Ad-aware and spybot :thumb:

Use them both and never have any trouble.

Also for spyware and all protection I use Outpost Firewall, excellent firewall and now come with built-in spyware protection scanner and everyhing.

On top of that I use McAffe Antivirus Corporate.

Using all that lot I never had any virus, trojan and the only spyware I had
were install on purpose as necessary by some free software, but just doing
a scan after clean them all.

    Also spybot is completly free.

You can get a free limited edition of ad-aware here

Using pirated versions of anti-spyware / anti-virus stuff has never quite made sense to me. Of course, you could have different views as to what is a good idea.

Just downloaded this earlier. Already have MS Anti-spyware which was fine did its job well.
I get my hands on any free anti spyware software i can. Whatever keeps my system clean is helpful IMO.

I have Adaware, MS aniti-spy, just got MS defender, spyware doctor, spyware blaster, spyware guard, spybot S&D, plus my AV and Firewall.

My system is ALWAYS clean because of these free and great pieces od software.

Of course, if the OS worked on whitelisting instead of blacklisting software none of this crap would be needed and we'd be able to use the memory and processor for our own apps rather than anti this and that. Ahh well.
