I don't speak exclusively of Le Pen and the Dutch bloke, but in general.
When Blair was voted into power, way back in 97 *feels old* His left wing party was in good company across europe, however modern day he finds himself as somewhat of a loner, any thought on why ? and what this means in the general scheme of relations with Europe ?

Firstly Blair isn't Left-wing.....
I thing there are underlying trends in the politics of several countries. Voters seem to be more and more wary of immigrants and there appears to be a backlash against the EU and against globalisation and US hegemony.
The right-wing can exploit these feelings as these issues are traditionally important ones for them.
Revolution is certainly over the top though.....
I know, i couldn't think of a way to express the topic properly <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> thats why i put the ' ' either side <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
Maybe, but its coming..
The whole rise of the right wing is in direct response to the political systems of the past 40 years. Repression of culture, forced 'public' political correctness...Weve spent the past 40 years covering up problems instead of solving problems.
Its starting to come to a head now. The right wing, and more importantly, the far right are gaining increasing support in every single western european country.
What happens with LePen next time? After another few years of the French seeing nothing getting fixed and people getting even more disheartened. Same thing here, the BNP got 3 local council seats this, next time? In the next general elections when weve seen another 4 years of Labour having done nothing but fuck up?
This is only going to get worse.
