soooo.... how about them Olympics?

French won the downhill event, beating out the two power house teams; Austrians and the Americans. Balls, we're never gonna live that one down.

Yeh like going nuts over the gay sport of curling...no one gives a shit about curling...but when there's a british medal hope it becomes the national sport for a few weeks. :crazyeyes

    Downhill event.

Like there's an Uphill one

TBH I don't actually care much about the Winter Games, other than to remind myself why I have the ambition to do a Bobsleigh Run.

It's putting me in the mood for my holiday next week, that's all.

Though I could watch the figure skating all day long *purr*

What on earth are you implying?

Of course I only watch it for the technical skill of the athletes. What other reason would there be?

Kari Traa mmm. Silver medalist in the moguls, she SO should have one and not just for being hot. Her tricks were amazing.

Watched the Womens Half Pipe today, shame UK didn't even get to the finals in that. Some cracking tricks though. Guy I know from Plymouth is in the UK team for Snowboarding though.

I think its a little boring aswell but there are a few sports in the Winter Olympics that can be fun to watch. The speed skatings ok but mainly when people fall and wipe everyone else on the track out. Think the Uphill :p slaloms good, very fast and also a few big crashes. Watched a bit of the Ski Jump which is pretty boring but scary when thinking about attempting it myself.

I would also love to have a go at the bobsleigh or the luge (think thats what its called).

All in all I'm not bothered about the winter games and England won't win shit anyway apart from maybe the curling  woooooooooooooooo

I'm in love with Jeffrey Buttle for his overly cheesy gay performance in the Ice Skating - he was great.

I LOVE the winter Olympics, I could watch it for ages. Actually I have been, at home. My sister likes to grade the figure skaters on the sparklyness of their costumes.

I find the winter olympics far more entertaining than the regualr olympics despite the fact us British are no where to be seen.

    Agreed.

Speed skating and snowboarding beat running and long jump any day.

There's also something exhilarating about watching someone sliding down a toboggan trail at 120 mph on nothing more than a piece of steel.
