I know this might seam a stupid question but its puzzling me, can you put a different OS onto a microsoft based system?

I've got a really old laptop and ive put microsoft Xp Home SP2 onto it and its crap, i then found Windows 2000 Pro and burned to cd and installed, that was crap aswell, just wondering if i can put a different os onto it :chin: :chin:

    You should be able to install some Linux release.
    Or Windows XP Pro SP2 (still Micro$hite tho)

    Ill take a look at them now, i looked into Microsoft windows SP3 Bootable CD And its very good, its been changed and cut down and ive emailed the maker of the program and hes sent me some download links which im currently downloading, and ill try it out later!
