I'm in the mood to watch a good film tonight, and since a quick scan of the telly guide gave me no joy I'm going to rent a DVD even though I'm almost beanless.
Recommend something - new or old, funny or scary or sad or whatever but preferably not boring! Nothing with Richard Gere, thanks.

Lion Kings awesome, if you after a comedy though i'm favouring anchor man for my boring friday night in again
ETA: Or maybe Me Myself and Irene
That movie is hilarous. I'm one of the only people that think so though. But then again I find everything Will Ferrel does hilarous.
Edit, I lied, he did bewitched, I take back what I said.
Dark City
Natural Born Killers
Fifth Element
In the mouth of madness
I only know one other person that finds it funny, i love it.
60% of the time, it works ALL the time!
What a random bunch! I've seen the ones of those that I'd be interested in I think, but cheers. :thumb:
I watched Fear and Loathing really recently, Skive, though I wouldn't mind something on that general wavelength.
Was he in Dodgeball?
Bewitched was an awful, awful film...but imagine watching it dubbed in German. :crying:

Dodgeball was surprisingly good. I laughed.
:eek2: If we're thinking of the same film, then it's probably not my cup of tea...cheers, anyway!
After what felt like ten hours in the video shop we ended up getting Benny & Joon and Mommie Dearest, both of which I've seen before. But nevermind.
Guys Gone Wild is for when everyone else has gone to bed, Manda!
That or Dogma.
I'd actually reallly like to see that, never think of it when I'm in the vid shop though. Next time, for sure.
Didn't care much for Dogma, though. Not too sure why.
anchorman is probably the funniest film i've ever seen. i do have a pretty silly sense of humour though. and stupid/whimsical taste in films. i'm a big kid really.
i like:
anchorman/dodgeball/zoolander/the 40 year old virgin (yes, they might as well all be the same film, but they're all funny)
amelie
anything studio ghibli (spirited away/my neighbour totoro/princess mononoke/etc)
big fish
the nightmare before christmas
the iron giant
disney pixar films (but not just disney ones)
there are lots more, but my brain has failed
i saw turner and hooch dubbed in spanish and it actually made it 250% more enjoyable.
I loved all of these, and since I now trust your taste I might check out some of the others...I've been a bit dubious about "The 40 Year Old Virgin" but have been hearing really good things about it from the most bizarre and unexpected (read: intelligent) people. Might check it out. :chin:
Also, is your sig Adam Cohen? Love.
