Not a disease, nor strictly an older person's illness - Alzheimers.

Sorry I was thinking about writing dementia which isn't a disease.

    Alzheimers is a disease.

    MRSA, clostridium,
Shouldn't be finding them in a care home...

How about osteoarthritis or angina? Both very common in old age and usually stable enough to be managed in a care home.

What level are you studying health and social at? motor neurone disease is most commonly diagnosed in people aged 50-70. If you wanted to be really specific you could look at age related macular degeneration - a condition more than a disease of the eye, occuring in people aged 50+. Good Luck x

Well in the little mini library, the most common reading materilas we have relating to old people is, dementia, incontinence, osteoporosis, parkinsons, agressive older adults, then such stuff as pain management, exteral feeding tubes and infections and such.

Young people get that too...your fella from Little Britain has it.
