Look there. 8 Megabit BB with all the extras (webspace, e-mail, , an average of £13.99 per month! You do the maths :p. Only downside is 5gb per month download cap (equivilent to 1,428 songs or 125,000 webpages, ish).

Just remembered someone was on the lookout but dont know who :p. I know morrocan roll has them and he seems to rate them highly :)

You may be interested in checking out tiscali then, a lot cheaper than BT, AOL http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/home.html?code=ZZ-NL-12LG - with unlimited monthly internet usage.

I heard Tiscali are crap, cannot remember why.

I supopse it definately does depend on your internet usage. They have another package for an average of £22.49 a month with 20gb monthly allowance, but the competitors are better than that. But for a casual websurfer, to have fast broadband like that for just £14 isnt bad. :)

I was on the lookout - Thansk anyway... the cap puts me off.

But it seems my mum changes her mind every 12 seconds, now she refuses to upgrade it. FFS. It's cheaper, and more... what does she want? :(

Im taking over my mums finances soon :) since she doesn't have a CLUE whats shes signed up for. Pretty much everything we could get better deals on.

Hint if you have sky tv: phone up and say you cant afford it anymore, theres a good chance they'll give you three months half price! ;)

i'm ok with what we have, 10megabit/sec, no cap :)

between 5 of us it's not that much per month.

it's the upload speed which is the limiting factor unfortunately :(

:| we are wqith Bulldog (and yeah they suck) we only get up to 4 meg even though our package should give us up to 8 meg, we beleive its due to a dodgy line somewhere ratther than our distance from the exchange cause we are quite close to it

but yeah anyway me and my housemates have got through 36GB in a week no way we could live with 5GB cap :(

works for NTL too, ring up and say you want to cancel, and they will offer you 6 month free.

I know there are probally better out there but Im happy with the likes of NTL for now. A 5GB cap is not workable, I did the maths with a guy at work who listens to digital radio alot - In less than a week he would be without Inet :(

I remember watching them lay the cable in our street. It was really sad of me to get upset when the year before the workmen stopped for the winter only a street away. Dial ups never again.

Rich: Why do you get to manage finances? I'm the one whos used to running a household when I was living with Caz. The one budget change is as follows:
Laura: £0 (Sent to Foster care) so we'll have more money then we could ever spend.

I would recommend NTL, they are excellent, and better than any other provider I've had, barring being on the Uni network.

Well, considering he linked to the bbc website I would hardly call it spam.

We are with demon. It is more expensive but generally really good.

Fantastic :D we could get ourself several 10mb lines and still have cash left over. I think Laura's average weekly leisure spend is in the region of £50!! That's about £217 per month, which is just shy of what I get paid!!

And Im taking over because some of the stuff mum is signed up to is ludicrous!

This would be no good for me, I download 2 or 3 gigs a day, I'm on UKOnline which is 8meg uncapped for £24.99 a month
