I'm 31 and have always been fairly trim, being able to stuff myself stupid with all kinds of junk food and not put any weight on but over the last few years I've developed a belly. I'm not overweight by any stretch of the imagination but I'd like to lose about a stone of fat.
Obviously cardio work is essential so I do that that for about half an hour every day at the gym.
As long as that sort of plan is ok, I'm looking at incorporating weights in to my work-outs but what sort of system should I be looking at? High reps with low weights or vice-versa? Should I be doing sets of 10, 12 or more? I've decided that while I'm happy to do cardio 4 or 5 days a week, the weights work will probably be every other day.
I have a training system session booked at my gym but that's not for another 2 weeks so any help you guys can give in the meantime would be appreciated.
TIA.
