The bear factory

OK, a little ahead of schedule here (well it's only 4 weeks or so I guess), but I was thinking of getting my girlfriend a bear from the bear factory for valentines day. I know she would love this, but I don't know how to go about it.

The whole fun of it is that you choose the bear, see it get stuffed ( :crazyeyes ) choose the clothes etc. So obviously I couldn't give her anything on the day. BUT! I was browsing through the web site and saw they did a whole load of valentine day special accesories, one of which was a valentine "heart" jumper for the bear. I was thinking of buying this, wrapping it up and giving it to her on the 14th, then she could go and choose the bear and do all that and I would pay for it.

So, my question is, do I
a) buy the clothes so I have something to give her on the day but she doesn't get to choose her own for it
b) just say "i'm getting you a bear" on the day and let her choose everything?

I was thinking going for a, but didn't know if that would take some of the fun out of it for her!?

In my opinion, you should just get it done, buy it buy the clothes and everything. The thought is lovely but I'd not want to be in a shop filled with children.

I'm not going to do the whole thing, as I know she would really like going and choosing the bear herself and see it being made. I'll take her one weekday afternoon when there's no kids around ;)

Can you get gift vouchers for it or a card saying I.O.U a bear or something?

I have no idea what the Bear Factory is.

But if we change one letter and make it Fear Factory, its a good band. Let us debate them. :p

Nah, they record a voice message in a little booth, and you have to do the whole squeezing the bear thing.

I have a Bear Factory bear. It is a dog, and it is currently on top of the wardrobe. Maybe if someone bought me one I'd actually look after it.

I also got given a Me To You bear by my ex, and when he broke up with me, I circular-sawed it's head off. HURRAH!

If you took an old flat stuffed animal to the bear factory, do you think you could get it restuffed? :chin:

I figure if I'm nice to their kids then they're less likely to shout at me for when I screw them for excess baggage/tell them their flight is delayed :p (more the first one because we're uber good for delays)
    Haha!!

    Good plan, kid ;p.

I've got a purple monkey wearing a wizards costume. He doesn't talk though.
He's called Monkey Magic Dave and he only has one foot because my rat ate the other one :(
