    Oh I know wacha mean. I was watching some of the "funniest commercials of 2004" not too long ago. 70% of them were utter crap. There was one though, from overseas that a way, a bunch of men dressed as sperm following this guy around... some type of condom commercial. Funny.

    Yeah... haha, I want that advert. I love some of the odd foreign ones... Japanese ones are especially good. I remember seeing alot on Tarrant on TV. :D

    still doesn't answer my question though ...why aren't rocket launches done on a count up instead of a count down ...counting up gives you all the time in the world to fix any faults that may occur.
    in boxing they count up 1 2 3 ...when it would be more appropriate to count down ...10 9 8 ....4 3 2 1 out!

    Because they don't want any malfunctions, I mean they could push the lift off button at 5 but they wait until 0 so they can get it correct, also the crew know what to expect, a 1-X number doesn't exactly give the crew time to get adjusted to the lift off and do their job properly...you're right in theory but I think in practice, it's better to do a 10 downards countdown.

    Just testing the clock, and I figure they count down for rocket launches because that way no one gets scared and just keeps counting up rather than launching.

    i guess this cause both my phone, and computer, and also my dads car radio autoupdate the time on them, and they are all the same
