Which country do you most LIKE in the world?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
As an antidote to the dislike thread, which country is your favourite. obviously, the UK is my favourite place in the world, but I would say South Africa is my favourite of all the foreign countries i have visited.

To an extent I am with Klintock on this one, though not from the same starting point.

I don't love or hate any country, they are only pieces of land separated by artificial boundaries. It's the people that make the difference for me and I have yet to meet enough from any country to form any opinions.

    Govts on the other hand...

So far my favourite country had been Canada, closely followed by Tunisia. I'm doing a big tour of the US put together by myself on my own next year, so that might change things a little,... or it might not.

I don't know - the countries i've been to and not particually liked are India and Thailand - but that doesnt' mean i'd not give them a second chance - i went to India again recently and it was OK and i'm likely to go again next yeat as well.

I've no idea what my favourite country is though they are all soo different its hard to choose.

There are lots of countries but all with drawbacks. I think I'd like to visit (in no particular order) Jordan, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Russia, China, and err lots more. I fell in love with Thailand when I went there :) however, having said that, since this is a Politics and Debate board, I'd have to say that Thailand does appear to be too oppresive to its own people for my liking. I dont like police states.

Theres something about the scandanavian countries and people, i would love to live there for a few years (though i've never been)...

for places i've been.. umm, dominican republic was rlly good, lived in america for a while, wasnt bad but i dont think idve stayed given a choice (maybe it was just the place I was), France was nice, only in the alps though... and i spose the UK isn't too bad either ;)
