Haven't even heard of it until today when someone sent me an email about it

    Yeah, it's simple to apply for and is sent to you in a week or so. It replaces the E111 (?) and so if you are going abroad then you should have one...

    I got mine last year cos there was a box you could tick on some E111 form to say you want one and they sent it.

    ive had 2 for some strange reason, just keeping one till i lose the other, which is bound to happen

    Yeah, we got offered the forms for it when we bought travel insurance, but as we're not going to europe it didnt matter.

    I got mine last month cause on the E111 it asks you to tick a box to recieve one, i think also it saves you having to fill out any more E111's?
