ive never gone for these kinda polls....mainly because opinion in certain areas is SO biased it's kinda pointless

i mean, has every single person that was asked heard someone from every part of the country? and is an accent from one part of the country unique to everyone in that part?

everyone's different - two people from newcastle could sound completely different in tone etc of their voice...

i'm just a bit sceptic of these kinda polls

i agree with ad infinitum on this one, all people's accents are subtely different, and while one region might appeal to you, you might get someone from that region with an accent you dont like. or you might like someone who's accent you dont normally.... ah you get the picture.

As for accent turn-offs, 31% of those polled voted for the 'frustrating and slow' Midlands tone as the worst UK regional accent.

I read the article and thought straight away "This is rubbish! The sexiest accent ever is Irish!"

And as I read the thread loadsa other people had already commented it!

One of my life ambitions is to wake up to a pretty blonde Irish girl and for her to say "Top of the morning to ya" in her amazing Irish accent!

The North West took 26% of surveyed opinion as it was nominated the least sexually attractive region in the country

I think this survey is a laod of rubbish. I mean I no this is about how sexy u think ppl but u dont just luv some won coz they av a kool accent or the size of there u no what’s. but that isnt luv. Thats just slapperised. U luv some 1 bcoz of there personalities. So wots the point in this.

Ps some of the worlds nicest girls r from Stockport. In THE NORTH WEST. So it isn’t all that bad.

I'm a lancashire lad born and bred, but I have to say that my favourite accent is an Edinburgh accent... and yes, if you listen to an individual from Edinburgh and an individual from Glasgow, you can tell a difference <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

heeeeeey i'm from New Jersey in the US and i think i should get sum input...i don;t kno the differances in english accents but i think they sound sexier then all amrican accents...i find that amrican accents are kind of lude and rude.....and english accents sound softer and nicer

Ahh well I'm as North East as it gets. I'm not from Aberdeen(well I live there now) but... even further north! But it has to be said that even in Aberdeen there are TONS of differnt accents. Plus I'd say the Glasgow accent is pretty pish to be honest. No-offence like. But the Edinburgh one it's ok. My girl friends is a kinda Edinburgh-English mix with a bit of Irish too mmmmmmmmm! Tasty!
