Should HIV couples have children

    On this subject I think they should'nt knowingly get pregnant if they know they have HIV until a cure is found as the quality of life would be so low and the knowing that you have an incurible disease would be hard to live with as I know how hard it to live with as I have a damaged lung which can't be cured and I suffer from bad chest infactions as would the people with this disease as there immune system would be weakened.

    But just because a parent has AIDS doen't mean that the child will be infected. And surely any life is better to no life?

    But the the life that they do have will be painfull and stressfull. Would you like to inflict this pain and suffering onto someone?

    I don't think they should at all.
    At the school where a few of my friends go there was a boy called Josh. He set up the charity CWAC for children with aids.When I heard about his stroy I cried:
    Josh's parents went on holiday when he was little, and his mum hada blood transfusion.The blood contained aids.
    His father caught the disease of his mother and when they hada little girl later on (still not knowing they had the virus)she also caught it. Every single person in his family caught the virus except him and every single one of them died and left him alone.
    Their tradgedy was accidental.
    Do you really think it's fair to inflict this kind of suffering on children when you are fully aware of the consequences?

    So would you prefer never to have existed then to have had twenty years, with shit quality of life at the end?

    If parents know that they will have a HIV baby, should they have an abortion?
