i take a mini pill. it says i can take it up to 3hrs late. wot happens if i took it earlier? would i still be protected?

    i've just read thru the guidance on missing a pill but doesn't say anythin there. reason im askin it coz at weekends wen i go out i always forget to take it. if i was to take it before i went out then i know iv defo taken it but that means im takin it 2hrs early. does this matter?

    I've no idea what the mini pill is, but for most pills, it states there is the 3 hour block of time. That means you can take it up to three hours later than normal, or earlier.

    The mini pill contains only 1 hormone (progestogen)
    Was under impression you could take it earlier!

    There's also a 'new' min-pill with a twelve hour window... Doens't answer your question though, sorry. Ring NHS Direct, or your clinic and ask 'em.
