It's about time Manchester had a decent radio station!! I've had a DAB for some time, and XFM is about the best on there Music wise, so can't wait - can have it in the car on way to work now!!!!!

XFM Manchester Launch

From the above article, it should be on the aire early 2006, and will be on 97.7FM.

I like Xfm, particularly Jimmy Carr's show on Sunday mornings

During the day Indie/Rock/Alternative kinda stuff.

Your Kaiser chiefs, your Franz ferdinands, your Maximo parks.. Alot of the classics too like The Jam, The Smiths, The Cure..

I don't know if the programme will be exactly the same but it's usually alot more diverse in the evenings. John Kennedy rules, oh yes.

There's a hip hop show saturday night, Chill out music sunday night, Metal show friday night.

Sounds pretty good to me. As far as I know Manchester doesn't have an alternative radio station.

No - that's why I'm happy!!!! KEY103 (Local crap station) used to have an hour sponsored by Kerrang! on Sunday night, but that was too mainstream and ended up being short lived.

    Looking forward to it.
