Having said that, Fairy Tale of New York by the Pogues and Kirsty McCall isn't completely unbearable.
That's true any song that can pass as Christmassy with the lyrics "you scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy ******, merry Christmas my arse and thank God its our last" deserves a special mention.
altho shakey has a special spot in my heart.
So many christmas memories, attached to that song.... including my aunty hitting her boyfriend round the head with a box of christmas decorations. (while the song was playing, obviously!) heehee.
I do love the lyrics to Fairytale Of New York though.
The version that the little girl (Olivia Olsen) sings in Love Actually is my favourite one, but Mariah Careys will do.
