    i've never had 1, aparrantly you dont get called for 1 till you're 25 now??
    i've been told all the gruesome details about it though, sticking a clamp up you, opening you up then twiddling a stick around inside....sounds tres uncomfortable......it wasn't that bad was it?? :nervous:

    lol I've actually moved this now, but anyhoo! hehe.

    I am a drama queen, but I found it not very nice at all. They used a clamp and they have to crank it open, I felt like a car. Added to the discomfort was the fact that I had to have a chlymadia test at the same time, so it was doubly bad. It wasnt AS bad as I thought it would be, but it was defintely up there with, 'horrible doctor's visits'

    they sound nasty, the school nurse showed us the 'small' clamp, it wasn't small at all.....she went 'this is the little virgin one' huh....hopefully i wont have to go for another 10 years yet

    Having a smear test really isn't that bad. I really don't know why there are so many horror stories out there when there are far worse, more invasive and painful uterine procedures to go through.

    I've had a smear test and it is the most undignifying thing ever! It really hurt and i actually had tears in my eyes and the nurse said that she may have used a clamp that was too large for me...well yeah i think she did because it hurt alot and i didnt expect it to be that bad! However I know other people who haven't found smear tests to be that bad so maybe it is just me.

    Oh dear. I always imagined smear tests to be a doctor just taking a swab with one of those pigment paper things for some reason.
