apparantly itll increase pRon usage on the internet - cant see any more people looking at it can you?

seriously though its actually better news for people as those internet blocking programs could block an entire domain section of the internet with a short command

no more disguising madthumbs.com as a weird anatomy site now ;)

Yeah, I can't see how anybody with even the most basic internet skills couldn't type in a sex related name and get a result rather than look for a .xxx I mean, it's used commonly enough in today's language and people aren't running to buy pr0n.

A mandatory regulation of all sites into .xxx would help too. Perhaps then "accidental" viewings through spyware etc. could be blocked, as well as certain less-savoury [?] and illegal types of matieral could be blocked better.

Maybe Bush has something to hide?

Its hte good ol'd US Government making Porn seem satanic and evil.

It won't make a difference except that new sites won't need to go find some obscure name 'cos all the rest are already taken with other pr0n sites. So, its just to look like htey are doing something besides attempting to shut down some already existing porn sites. (Which they have already done.)

Oh well, it'll probably get through anyway. Eventually. Hopefully freexpictures won't change though... wewt.

The US government is being stupid at several levels. It would actually serve their puritanical cause to allow an xxx. domain. Easier to block up.

Since they are not planning to shut down existing porn sites, what's the bloody point of opposing the new domain?
