Don't know if you have seen this before but I thought it was worth posting.

End of.

Rigging is changing or forcing people to vote for someone. Bush just had some "luck."
I am sorry, a man testifies under pain of incarceration that the head of floridas chamber asked specifically for a program to rig votes and it's "bullshit"?
The same guy takes a polygraph with the chief of florida police and it's bullshit?
Ok mate, dream on.
"Evidentiary fact" ( :yeees: ) being an article written on Wikipedia, an online encyclopaedia editable by anyone.
Yeah its certainly fishy.
One of the least corrupt, I'd reckon.
But there is no doubt an amount of corruption.
Would tend to agree that its pretty uncorrupt compared to many at Federal level. That said at the level of some States and Counties corruption is pretty endemic.
I don't know much about local government, but I'd be surprised if they were particularly corrupt.
I've got a figure of over 50 US Mayors currently in prison, including Milton Milan, Mayor of Camden, New Jersey - who is the third of the last five Mayors to be found guilty of corruption (Washington Post - 21 December 2000).
ETA - though the source for the 50 is hostile to the idea of Mayors and its hard to compare it with other places to get a true idea of where the US stands in the corruption league. My guess is that its higher than some Western European states and less than others.
I don't think it speaks well for the "greatest democracy in the world" that something like this can occur and be kept so quiet. Do you?
