Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't just about every fucker in the world want one of these? Or, is it just over-ambitious students like myself and the novelty wears thin at around the 22 - 23 mark?

Seriously though, how lush.

    my next door neighbor has one of them :) exactly the same as that picture except its bright green instead of blue!

    i personally think its rather ugly..
    now, im all for "classic" cars but just not that one ;)

    My friend's got a VW Camper Van fund going, most of which comes from pre-death inheritance. He can't even take his test for another 9 months. :|

    However, I have to say how cool it is in case he's serious about the road trip around Europe after A Levels.

    They're abosulte shite - my mate and I once owned one.

    Horrible to drive, severe reliabillity problems and they cost a fortune to run.

    I'd love one. Seriously considered getting one a few years ago, but the prices started to go up, and were beyond my pocket. :(
    It's still possible to get one for a few hundred, but be prepared to do a full blown restoration on it. :(

    Even the later model vans are nice, especially when they can do this...

    ...and it's street legal, has a full working camper interior, and is driven to the track. It's the only race car at the moment that you can make a cup of tea, and cook your breakfast, in. :D

    I've seen that shortened one in the Metal. It's insane and fucking ace.

    I want one. Its on my must-own cars list at some point. I want a slammed one on Torque-Thrusts, with a turbo'd engine. I know of a blown V8 one... :shocking: im not that mad. Nor that rich.

    You can do a lot with a VW air-cooled engine. Especially when messing with turbos, like this...

    His dial in is 12.99 (hint, it's written in shoe white on the back window). :) So his E.T. will be just about that.
