A little query..

Hi, I've just been diagnosed with glandular fever and I was wondering if anybody knew if the disease stays with you for life? One of my friends said that even when I've recovered from it, which I understand could take months, I would still be a carrier of the disease and would therefore pass it on to everyone I have a relationship with in the future. Was he right? I'm feeling rough enough as it is and that being true would probably top this illness right off.
