So you have never ever taken paid leave I take it then Matadore?

I guess its an attempt by companies to be nice to their workers or something.

Because companies have to compete to get workers and because it is inefficient to have workers too tired or stressed so that they can't work.

Also it would simply be unacceptable socially abd morally for people to be working all the time, it always has been, why do we have weekends, why did God rest on the severnth day?

when would anyone have time for lesuire if they did not have holidays? People would have no time to spend the money they are earning, and the whole economy would crash. As pointed out before, you need to take time off to have a change of scenery and therefore becoming less stressed, and spending time with youf family etc, which would make a better workforce

    Im here all week

A happy workforce is a more productive workforce, apparently.

    We haven't. But only just.

Matadore is an idiot. Simple as.

People get paid statutory leave so that they can afford to have a holiday. It ensures the protection of lower-paid workers, although Matadore thinks that the poor are stupid and lazy so he wouldn't think this was a good idea.

Low-paid workers need to be protected, which is why statutory holiday pay has been extended to short-term and temporary staff too. Which is a godsend to me.

Nah, he's a troll. He only says things like that to get a reaction. Sad sack obviously can't get it up or something and needs to get his kicks another way.

Has Matadore ever done a days work in his life? A couple of weeks paid holiday per year isn’t a lot.

And considering many have to cram a holiday, a hospital appointment or two if you’re unlucky, visiting relatives and religious holidays if you’re not Christian into just a few weeks per year a few weeks paid holiday seems pretty fair.

Seeing as the British work the longest hours in Europe I'd also say that people here are more than entitled to it.

Holidays are something to look forward to, like you feel like you're getting somewhere.

Matadore, what job do you do?
