i understand the paranoia about newbies after recent events... but is this not meant to be a confidential site where you can just ask stuff and not be afraid someone will know who you are? if everyone has to tell stuff about them, without wanting to like when they sign up, its gonna make it not so friendly and more formal, and people arent gonna wanna ask sensitive questions. but like bryony who seemed to not be disrespecting anyone, but just having some fun, i mean you dont have to say "my name is Jane Brown, im 16 and i live at 10 Smith Street and my phone number is 12345 678 908" (its not)... thats why we have usernames, so we dont have to talk about ourselves in a personal way and be worried. does anyone else agree?

I agree. Just because you are all mega posters doesn't mean you have the right to interrogate people who enter. When I first started I came straight out with my question and no one minded. I asked my second question and somebody thought I was Arnesh. The only reason you lot have so many posts anyway is because you post pointless things for the sake of numbers on the other boards. The only exceptions are the helpful posters like spirit, chica and J9. If I have missed your name out then I apologise. But don't persecute the newbies, everyone has the right of anonyminity.

Yeah, you're right. I guess we're too protective of our little community, but there are some ppl on here that would be very hurt if this place gor ruined - me for one.

You missed out my name as helpful poster :-) and daze, harry, elisa, GFM and loads and loads of others. Yeah, we post up shit (and we've been thru this before recently) but we justify that by posting up helpful stuff as well.
