What is it with you girls and the older guy?

I was just reading that age range thing and I was just wondering why you girls always go for older guy? In my school all the nicest girls are walking out and these old dudes are there waitin for em and its not fair for the rest of us dammit! Lol! So...why do you do it?

    i find an older man more mature than lads of my own age.
    i never actually intended to go out with an older guy, its just i met him and things went from there when i realised how much better i got on with him than younger lads.
    i think they have a little more experience and usually more manners and respect for us girlies.

    I think the reason why us girls tend to be slightly more attracted to older guys is because theyre more gentlemanly...dunno if thas the right word 2 use but in general they have manners and are more experienced...in more ways than one. im 16 and i think that guys my age are immature and unsenstive, but this might just be that the lot i know are just w--k-rs.
    another reason is that i find that older men are less demanding and dont expect as much as boys do. they respect ur feelings and dont pressurise u in2 anything u dont wanna do. wen im with an older man i feel more protected 2.
    iv been messed around so much by boys, and pressurised into doing so much stuff wit them that i didnt want 2 do so thats anutha reason y. god.....sum boys r such t--s-rs.

    I find that generally i get on better wit ppl a few yrs older then me all round, as mates & as partners.

    I've been out wit a few guys the same age as me & a yr older then me & GENERALLY i find that they are immature prats. There are sum guys who i would consider goin out wit who are around the same age as me but they're very few!!! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    yeah, i was going out with a girl my age (16), and both she and her friends told me that i was probably the most mature and respecting boyfriend (or just friend) shes had...and then she broke up with me to go out with a 19 year old ghetto meathead who never went to college and still lives with his mom...

    Yeah but older doesn't mean more experienced "in more ways than one" as u keep putting it. Actin my age? I'm 17 and I don't go running around like a fool. I do act my age but I don't think I'd go out with someone like 3 years younger than me. In my view if an older (and i mean by like, 5 years) asks u out, u know they're only after one thing.

    I have also wondered this about girls alot of the time going out with older lads. now im 17 nearly 18.its wierd that in alot of cases girls a yr or two younger than me are more interested than girls my age. since they tend to be interested in guys who are say 19-20. this isn't always the case but is alot of the time.

    and do girls ever do this because going out with older boys is a good way of showing off to their mates - not sayin this is the usual case but sometimes?!?!

    Basically, girls mature a lot faster than blokes so when they go out with a bloke their own age he seems like an immature little fuck wit!!! Obviously not all blokes are like this, and normally when boys are on their own they are fine but as soon as they get together with all their little mates they act like complete idiots again!!!

    It is a know fact that girls mature faster than boys!! I'm not saying that girls don't act silly coz we do, but we are more mature than blokes.

    Genuinly girls do mature faster than lads in puberty, that is medical fact. That doesn't necessarily mean that girls are more mature than boys in general though, thats down to individuals.

    Girls and boys have different interests and beliefs on life, girls see boys as imature for thier interests and this can be down to hormones...

    The testostirone (spellin?) vs eastrogin (spellin?) battle...

    Genuinly younger girls (below 20) do date older guys and its usually down to maturity, think about it when boys are growing up its all about 'I'm the hardest' attitude problem. As they get older they carm down more and you can hold suitable conversations without the lad being bothered about his 'image', As they get older this tends not to matter but I suppose if you get used to dating people older then its something that carries with you as you grow up...

    Just to be bloody awkward, I'm female and for a short while I went out with someone who was (dare I say it...) younger than me by a couple of years. I've also recently finished with someone who was 6 years older than me, and I can honestly say the younger one acted more mature than the older one. I know this is most likely an exception to the rule though. Generally older blokes are more mature but then you've gotta take into account individual differences too. Younger blokes tend to want to play the field whereas older blokes have already done that and don't mind commitment.

    im 16 and just started at a mixed sixth form after having been at all girls since primary, and boys muck about a lot more in lessons compared to girls, but i was working in the summer with guys aged 17-26 and i got on with them all and i think i just depends on the person as to how mature they are.

    i agree with me old mate genie girls mature faster than boys therfore need some maturity in their relationship which you aint gona get from a bloke that is your age b cos they are more interested in going out with girls that will fall at their feet and do anything for them!!!

    I've got to agree with u here Demonk1d man. Some girls just go out with older guys coz they think they're cool. As said before it just depends on individuals, I like to think I'm more mature than the majority of guys my age (18) but girls who "only go out with older men" won't even second look me.

    I've been a male model for years now so I get the impression sometimes its not just looks or personality, its just so they can say they're going out with an older guy.

    I'm probably gonna sound really sad but I like older guys cos there's someone there to look after you, if that makes any sense. I'm not saying that younger b/f's don't but that's just how I feel. Also the experience factor comes into play.

    sometimes girls dont give lads of the same age a chance, they talk about experience and stuff like that but unless you've been with at least a few people from different age groups u can't tell! i would never go out with a much younger girl because i think they can sometimes be immature and easily led by what they read in girl mag's and things like that!

    I've been with boys younger than me, same age as me and older than me lol. There wasn't really much difference but I would never go out with a boy younger than me again lol.

    u say that if a guy 5 yrs older than a girl asks her out he's only after one thing. well my b/f is 10 yrs older than me and thats definately not the case. he's been there for me so much and understood things ive been through that im sure a younger lad would just laugh at. he makes me feel secure and definately doesnt pressure me for sex.

    From a girl's point of view here...all these reasons about older guys are more mature blah blah blah I think that aint the real case.Generally,the pattern is the majority of girls who are with an older guy are usaully the ones who are in the 'in crowd' and I don't find them particularly mature.Its just a case of competiton to find the oldest and nicest looking guy.Its to sjow off.
    Those who generally have a great boyfriend the it will be the case of just coincidence that they have a nice boyfriend and it so happens he is older and more mature than most lads your age which would have been the attraction in the first place.

    I have dated more younger than older guys. The older ones tend to be too serious and posessive while the younger ones are more fun. That's just my opinion.
