Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Well I'm off to uni in afew days so I thought I should ask this now.

When I put on a condom, should my "purple helmet" so to speak, be exposed. I tried one on, and it wouldnt fit, how far down does my foreskin have to be exposed ??

Sorry to sound really thick.

Mama I love you, Mama I care.

im glad sum body else has a problem with condoms. 2b honest i find them a pain in the ass as well.

i am never quite sure if they are pulled down enough and have had two nasty experiences with them where they have split

i can't say more really than practice loads and if its a long term relationship i would try and see about using the pill

its not illegal til u get caught

I don't have the foreskin problem, but I don't think it matters. Do whatever is more comfortable. If you have problems with them spliting use magnums, they are bigger around for lots of gurth

BBH, I don't think they sell that brand in the UK, but there are condoms for sale over here that are wider, or have a different shape at the end.

Avanti and Gold by Durex are a bit wider than the average condom, and may be more comfortable for some people. Also, it might be worth buying a few and just practice putting them on to make sure you're comfortable with them.

condoms are made to fit all (as a rule)

some special packs will state on them if they're ribbed, thicker (extra safe etc) or flavoured etc

just buy a standard pack, or get some from the family planning clinic, and then see if you want to experiment with others

Avanti comes with a soft plastic ring that make them a heck of a lot easier to put on.

none of your helmet or foreskin should be exposed, it should be unrolled all the way.

Hey, yeh I had that problem too, I find durex generally to be better than all the other brands I've tried in that respect...and mates condoms seem to be the worst! Bad luck too, it seems that mates tend to distribute their free condoms around universities!
