To blonde or not to blonde

Gah, I'm torn between highlighting my hair again (making it blonder than it is now, which is pretty blonde) or going back to my natural colour (mid brown) with some subtle lowlights.

Most people are telling me the blonde suits me more but I'm not too sure. I think it's been done to death over here - every second girl has blondey-browny straight hair. And I forget what I look like with brown hair.

What are your opinions on at-home hair colour? I'm always way too nervous to try doing anything at home, but some part of me thinks that if I'm going darker, I won't have an unholy mess on my hands.

So....darker or lighter? This is me, by the way.....

    i think dark too.

    darker hair always looks so much healthier, and like you said, EVERYONE has blondey hair.

    I think darker, too :yes:

    Theres sooo many blondes and blondey browns around these days (including moi). Brunettes seem to be rarer now. I'm thinking of dying mine back to brown :)

    My hair needs highlighting again. My roots are showing and my hair is starting to go a bit yellow. It was light blonde when I first had it done.
    I like my hair being blonde, I am gonna keep it this way. It is quite short but I am growing it.

    In my honest (though slightly biased) opinion darker hair is better. I am a natural blonde but look a lot better with darker hair. Though as long as you get the right shade for you any colour would look good.

    Darker hair does look healthier but can also make you look a bit pasty! Blonde covers a multitude of sins :D (thank god)

    Think you would suit your hair a bit darker though

    i think Darker aswell, its alot nicer to have a dark colour this time of year me thinks :yes: i'd love to go darker but i'm too scared :crazyeyes
