Receivership help/advice plz

What happens when a company goes down ? I dont think they have got my money yet (gonna double check tomorrow), but they cant take it once the receivers have been called in can they ?

Ive never been in this situation so am now papping myself.

thanks for any help/advice. also I posted his here because I thought the people in this forum would be better suited to give me the answers I need.

    not anyting to do with that shopping channel firm that just went bust?


    if they have allready supplied you with contracted goods/products/services etc then the administrators might in theory be inclined to ask for you payment

    I've got no idea.... I think it depends if they have insurance. Like you should book with a travel agent that's ATOL protected kinda thing. I *think* most things are........ My friend worked for this company that went bankrupt, and she got all the money owed to her.

    This isn't terriblely helpful. sorry. you could always pop down to citizens advice. Also, bearing in mind that I don't know what kind of firm this is, check any contracts that you signed with them, and see what it says.

    Aye, thats the one. I have not got my goods and dont think they have taken the money but will double check tomorrow.
    The stuff was ordered at the beginning of the month and I received a letter about 3 days ago saying the goods will be despatched within 14 working days.
