Hello!

I was hoping some of you might help me out...Im doing my 4th year Psychology Thesis this year (evil thing) and I need young peoples opinions on the elderly and the young.

So if you are aged 25 or less could you please either post here or pm me about 10 behavioural trait words about the elderly and then again about the young. If you cant think of 10 for each, its okay, just anything is fine :) Dont think about it too much, just your instant thoughts is what im after

Examples of trait words - grumpy, lively, organised, helpful

Thank you SOOOOOOO much :D

far from it, it is in fact perfectly ethical to pay research participants

    providing that

any payment should not form too powerful an inducement

Payment to participate in research could be considered a novel methodology to enhance recruitment rates of hidden and hard to reach populations.

Payment could be seen as an important aspect of valuing the participants worth.

If the researcher is paid, why shouldn’t the participant be paid?

To offer payment to a research participant for research participation is ethical providing the participant has capacity and the payment is a reasonable amount. Payment show respect and balances the transaction of time given
    i could go on but I won't

now to answer your questions, oh I can't, I'm too old. thats an interesting bias to your data. are you asking old people to do the same, and what about those in their 30's or 40's.

Haha! Im not paid to do this :p But anyways...we are told that payment cannot be used to entice participants into taking part but they can be reimbursed for their time and travel costs etc...

Anyways...im not asking old people to do the same, just young people.

THANK YOU to everyone who sent me words and for their input! You can all have a nice big present and use your imagination as to what is in the box :D:D

You are a 4th year psychology student who is about to do truly original research for the development of psychology and you come to the internet to get people's opinions?

Mmm, yeah, thanks for that. :thumb:

I have not said what my thesis is about, nor i have not said what i am going to use these lists of words for, i was simply asking for peoples opinions.

If you have nothing constructive to say, dont say anything at all. Your comment was totally unfounded and useless, but you upped your post count, so go and have a biscuit.
