a man once phoned up an australian radio show to announce that he and his brother were both on the dole. Not only this, he was signed on at 8 different offices and his brother was signed on at 4. How can this happen? more than that, how much of an idiot do you have to be to phone up a radio station, give your name and phone number to an operator, and then announce it live to your entire country?

    Maybe... but all it takes is one letter mis-placed and it appears to be another name which does match up to anything on the dole system... right?
    oh but the national insurance numbers are unique so.... i dont know, it must be impossible... he lies!!!!

    If you work in the public sector for a while you understand these things.

    Fake ID's, name changes, temporary NI numbers, it can be done if you really try at it.

    Though its much harder than it used to be, and it happens less than the papers would make out.

    Well we shouldnt have an NI system either. But thats another arguement really.
